Thanks to the brave young people who reacted immediately, the tragedy was almost avoided “by a hair.”
Pavle and her colleagues saw that the apartment was on fire, and then the teenager was trapped on the terrace and called for help, and they immediately rushed to save her!
– Colleagues called me and said the building was on fire! We immediately headed upstairs to see how we could help. We tried to break down the door to the burning apartment, but we couldn’t: Pavle tells the details of the drama.
Then, as he says, they thought of trying to save the captured teenager from the apartment below.
– They tied me up on the terrace below and held me, and the girl crossed to the other side of the terrace and then jumped to my place. It all took about 15 minutes – he says.
He added that the girl was seriously injured in the fire.
“I’m very happy the girl is doing well, but we’ve heard that she has burns on about 60 percent of her skin,” says Pavle.
