They tortured me for more than three hours. They hit me with their fists, a barbell, they kicked me, they forced me to orally satisfy them, and the Cherokee raped me at the end. I prayed to God and to them not to kill me.
With these words begins Slobodan Popov’s (19) confession to Kurir, when, as suspected, MN (21) and NM (21) were beaten and raped in one of the rooms of an abandoned military building in Bela Crkva.
Cried and asked for help
The unfortunate young man says that it is not true that he went to the horror room voluntarily. – As soon as I was introduced, they began to earn a living, although I begged them to stop. I cried and asked for help, but no one heard me because of the loud music they were playing. While I was beaten and raped, they smoked marijuana and drank beer. They forced me too, but I didn’t want to. I just begged them to give me water, because I was thirsty, and they urinated on me in a bottle and gave me something to drink, to make a joke – relates the horror that the unfortunate young man went through.
Slobodan says that he suffers from severe chest pains and has difficulty speaking. – NM held a screwdriver to my neck and made me orally satisfy the latter. I was ill and when I refused, severe beatings followed. At one point I fell to the ground and NM swung her leg to kick me in the head. I put my hand to protect myself and then broke two fingers – says the victim of unprecedented abuse.
The reason is not clear
As he says, it seemed to him that the torture lasted forever, and then he realized that he had been in the horror room for a full three hours. – While they mistreated me, they shouted that I would not be alive until morning, they cursed my mother, who is otherwise in the hospital. At one point I overheard MN talking on the phone, and the person he was talking to said, “He’s not that guy,” Slobodan says, noting why he didn’t know why he was disfigured. “Either they mistook me for someone, or it’s MN. I did it for my friend, who he’s in love with, and she doesn’t even want to see him. I didn’t do them any harm.

The victim says MN and NM, who were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of beating and raping a young man, eventually threw him out the window. – Luckily, I landed on my feet, somehow I crawled home and went to the doctor with my dad. Everything hurt and my ears were bleeding. There they asked me what happened, I explained them and they called the police – says Slobodan.
