Economic experts, commenting that some politicians keep money in foreign banks, such as those in Switzerland, say that the main reason is to put money abroad so that it is more difficult for the State to prove its existence and its flows.
– When people keep money in Switzerland, for example, the first reason is probably that it was earned dishonestly and they fear that it will be determined that they did what they did and probably got some money for themselves in state affairs. – says on behalf of Kurir economist Mladjen Kovacevic.
So, he adds, they keep it somewhere where it is more difficult to determine where the money came from.
– This is how they keep it in foreign banks, even if they pay for it to be there, for example in Switzerland, where 0.5 percent interest is paid, but they will have fewer worries – said Kovacevic.
Let us remind you, President Aleksandar Vučić stated that a billionaire who took money from the people has accounts not only in Mauritius and Switzerland, but also in a few other places, and this will all be seen this week.
The president did not name the billionaire, but SAA leader Dragan Djilas admitted a few days earlier that he had accounts in Switzerland, trying to justify that to the companies he owns.
