According to eyewitnesses, the unfortunate man stayed outside the terrace for 45 minutes while police and firefighters tried to find a way to reach him.
It is not clear exactly how the accident happened, and the Interior Ministry told “Novosti” that the man’s lifeless body was found on the sidewalk and that all circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
It all started around 11.15am, when Slobodan P. from Dorćol saw a man lying on the roof of the terrace on the top floor of the building in front of his apartment. He immediately informed the police and went outside to wait for them.

PAINFUL SCENE in front of the building
The body of the victim was quickly taken away. The scene was unbearable because there was blood everywhere. Although the man’s face has been mutilated since the fall, witnesses say he is not from his area.
– I saw the firefighters enter a neighbor’s terrace and policemen walking through the building, but it is not clear to me how they could not help him and go out to the roof – says a fellow citizen.
He says that he tried to save someone’s life and that he is aware that he cannot teach the police or firefighters his job, but it is not clear to him how they did nothing.
– That they did not go up to the roof to pull him, or to enter that apartment, then on the terrace, so that he would somehow stay. I do not know. Apparently he killed us all! – this Dorćolac is sorry.
Neighbors who gathered around the building were stunned by the thud as the body hit the sidewalk, because they were all convinced that the man would be saved.
