Firefighters from Uzice and Cajetina rescued six Russian citizens from a van stuck in the snow in the town of Stublo, on the way to the Uvac monastery.

There were two married couples and two in the van, a 10-year-old girl and a baby. As we learn, the Russians traveled to Žabljak and the navigation led them badly to the Uvac monastery.

– They did not know when to call, so they called their embassy, which informed the Uzice fire brigade. Our teams with four vehicles and eight firefighters and rescuers immediately went to them and found them without any problem. First, we take care of the baby, the girl and the women, Ivan Bacetić, commander of the Fire and Rescue Battalion in Užice, told Kurir.

As you said, Russian citizens traveled through Serbia and Montenegro, and due to poor navigation, they ended up stuck in the snow.

– We managed to get the truck out of the snow in half an hour and there were no winter chains on the vehicle. We call on all drivers and tourists to use the chains in winter conditions. Also, we advise tourists to have a map and not rely too much on navigation, because often the maps are not updated, Bacic told Kurir.
