Miljan J. (22) was arrested on suspicion of beating his neighbor Sava Krstić (93) to death at his home in the village of Donji Dušnik near Gadžin Han.
The neighbors believe that Miljan wanted to rob Sava and that’s why he killed him, but another version of this tragedy appeared.
According to that version, Miljan arrived at Savina’s house on Saturday night. They drank alcohol together. At one point they fought
Miljan beat Sava, took the victim’s closet and took her to her nearby home. Burned Savina’s damn closet in the oven. The suspect washed his clothes. The next day, Miljan boasted of having beaten and probably killed Sava.
Today, he escaped from his village by bus to Nis, where he was arrested, on the basis of solid material evidence obtained.
By the way, Miljan’s brother Sasa Jovanović, called “Hitler”, was known two decades ago as a thief and robber and once hid in Suva Planina.
The prosecution classified the case as aggravated homicide. The suspect confessed to the crime.
