However, traders agree that their turnover is much weaker this year compared to previous years, that neither Leskovac peppers nor tomatoes help.
– People in this period buy mainly vegetables that they leave for the winter and fruits to cook sweets or jams. Now nothing, the stalls are full, but there is no one to buy. There are fewer people, they say, the prices are high and we have lowered as much as we could, so that we can earn something too: Mileva P., from Šepšin, near Mladenovac, who has a stall in the “Zeleni venac” market, is disappointed .
The price of cauliflower and broccoli is 100 dinars each, a kilo of cucumbers is 50, while a bunch of three carrots and two of celery is 70 dinars.
On the other hand, green beans, for which it is convenient to reserve 300 dinars per kilogram, say the tenants of the stalls, there is much demand There is also okra, the price of which per kilogram is 500 dinars.
For the blue eggplant in the buđelar, 60 dinars should be reserved, as well as for the potatoes, while a kilogram of onion costs 70 dinars and vlašac 100 dinars.
A piece of pineapple costs 150 dinars, a kilo of grapefruit 250 and a lemon 200.
Raspberries and blueberries can still be found in some stalls, which cost 600 dinars each, but also watermelons, the price of which is “stagnant” for a long time at 50 dinars per kilo.
