Another 317 cases of infection were confirmed over the weekend in downtown Banat.

The head of the Banat Central administrative district, Snezana Vucurevic, told RTS that the epidemiological situation in the district is extraordinary, as well as in the entire country.

He noted that the weekend data had just arrived and that 317 new cases of infection had been confirmed, of which 222 were from Zrenjanin, 41 from Novi Becej, 20 from Secanj, 18 from Nova Crnja and 16 from Zitiste.

“Currently, we have 3,850 active cases on the territory of the district,” Vučurević said.

He appealed to citizens to refrain from meeting.
