Tonight, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić joined the National Pink Television Daily.
Vučić joined from Savski trg, where the final works are underway before the ceremonial inauguration of the Stefan Nemanja monument. During the president’s visit, the test lighting was switched on for the first time.
– Until a few years ago, we called this space a “barn” and it was a symbol of everything ruined in Belgrade, and look how beautiful it looks now. This will be the most beautiful square in Belgrade, perhaps also in Serbia. Let’s just change the facade of the post office building and it will be amazing – said Vučić during the conversation with the workers.
In the company of Mayor Zoran Radojicic and Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic, Vucic also visited the monument to the ancestor of the Nemanjic lineage, which will be ceremonially inaugurated on January 27.
– The monument looks fantastic – Vučić did not hide his enthusiasm.
The president added that he was very happy and that everything seemed unreal.
– I didn’t expect it to look so amazing – said Vučić and emphasized that the monument was made in such a way as to explain the town’s history and spirituality.
According to him, Sava Square and the Stefan Nemanja monument are a symbol of resurrecting Serbia from the ashes.
– This is a way of showing that Serbia has the strength to grow in every way. We also repaired the clock at the train station after 24 years. That probably speaks to 24 years of Serbian failure, and this is a symbol of Serbian progress, Vučić said and invited citizens to walk to Sava square in the evening after the inauguration in Saint Sava and see how fantastic everything looks. .
The president added that returning the original facade to the Main Post Office building would be an extraordinary measure.
There are vaccinations for the next seven to eight days.
Vučić emphasized that Serbia is currently fourth in Europe in terms of vaccination rate, and that he expects us to be second on the list in the next 24 hours.
– It is almost impossible to get vaccinated. I’ve been working on it all day. I do not know what it is about and I do not understand what is happening in the world … We have signed contracts, but Pfizer receives fewer vaccines than expected – said Vučić adding that we have a vaccine for the next seven or eight days continue the vaccination at this rate.
He notes that they are “struggling” with the procurement of vaccines and that the Serbian government is working around the clock, but that Sputnik and Pfizer are late, and that Astra Zeneka is reducing production.
He announced the delivery of another 100,000 doses.
– We must provide revaccination and that everyone who has already received the vaccine has a vaccine for revaccination. We will not work like some to share vaccines and not leave them for revaccination. People who have already been vaccinated and are older should not worry – emphasized Vučić, adding that the problem will be even greater when a new strain of corona appears in our country.
The president also commented on “Dveri’s” criticism of the badges given to those who have been vaccinated.
– I have not been vaccinated and I would like to be. I don’t know what they are talking about. I will not flatter anyone for their political points. We remember that we implemented the most difficult reforms. I will not dream that the country is a flat plate and not even children say such nonsense – says the president.
Vučić called the request to form an electoral ministry a stupid idea:
– It doesn’t exist anywhere. This is what those who want to return to power only to loot are looking for. This is an independent and sovereign country and you are wrong if you think Tanja Fajon will persuade me to form it. That nonsense about such a ministry is as stupid as the hat-wearing ministry.
