“Starting in mid-December, we can expect the general situation to calm down,” he added.
Dr. Tiodorović said that we now see danger, completely unjustified on this Black Friday.
– I don’t know why we have to accept the worst, and that is, even if it is a peaceful situation. Look at the western countries, Slovenia, for example. there was no Black Friday. What happened now does not represent a single per thousand in terms of financial support, and inflicts inestimable damage to the organization of the health service and the preservation of health – he said.
We need to clarify what is most important at the moment, he added, and the most important thing is health, even at the cost of the economy.
– We cannot expect a flattening of the curve before mid-December – he added, noting that for the New Year we will have a more noticeable decline, calming the situation.
According to him, only when the vaccine arrives can we hope that the situation will calm down.
– We must be aware that we will continue to maintain all these measures. I believe that the whole system of conservation of these measures should last until spring. With vaccination and achieving herd immunity, we can reach a controlled situation – he pointed out.
