BELGRADE – Tomorrow the last minimum wage will be paid in the amount of 18,000 dinars each.

Today, the Minister of Finance, Siniša Mali, announced that tomorrow the last payment of 60 percent of the minimum wage will be paid for an amount of 18,000 dinars, while on September 21, 120 percent of the minimum wage will be paid for companies newly established, that is, two payments of 60 percent each. minimum at a time.

“18.4 billion dinars have been provided for this tranche of minimum payments. All employees of entrepreneurs, in small and medium-sized enterprises, according to our records, 1,018,863 of them will receive 60 percent of the state minimum wage, that is , 18,000 dinars per employee. As announced by the Ministry of Finance, this is the last, fifth minimum wage that the Government of Serbia has pays into specific accounts of the companies that use the aid. The minister specified that a total of 130 billion dinars was set aside from the budget for the payment of only five minimums.

Mali also referred to the newly formed companies, stating that it is very encouraging that a total of 12,124 accounts for the payment of the minimum wage have been opened in the Treasury Administration, which in reality means that so many companies were founded later March 15, and no later than July 20 of this year. that was one of the conditions for the application.

“That means that people decide to take a risk and start a business under the most difficult circumstances,” Mali said, saying that on September 21 they will receive 18,000 dinars per employee twice, that is, two payments at once.

He also recalled that the Government tried to help the catering industry, mainly the hotel industry, with sector support.

The public call for applications from economic entities for the use of grants will run until September 15.

The funds are allocated in the amount of 350 euros per single bed and 150 euros per accommodation unit, and the right is exercised by categorized hotels that are privately owned.

“We expect a lot from this measure and we regularly analyze and review the situation in other sectors,” said the minister, and told entrepreneurs that the state will certainly not leave them alone, but will help preserve their market and jobs through a focus and planned measures.

He noted that Serbia is one of the few countries whose citizens receive good news from abroad, confirming good economic measures during the coronavirus pandemic.
