Belgrade – Epidemiologist and member of the Crisis tab Branislav Tiodorovi declared for the morning TV Prva program that there is no dilemma: the danger of the coronavirus has not passed.

“We have a serious and ongoing situation, although our numbers appear to be decreasing. The death toll is high,” he said, adding that the measures taken by the Crisis tab were taken to preserve the health of our people.
“So, we have to celebrate the New Year in a different way,” Tiodorovi said, reiterating that organized New Year celebrations are prohibited, as well as reruns to achieve less contact.
“We agreed on an elephant – no celebration. Caterers work until 6pm on December 31 and January 1, and then work continues until 8pm. All of this is valid until January 11 when the situation is reassessed, so we will see if the measures are similar or poisoning. ” “he said.
When asked to comment on media reports and forecasts that 500 illegal demonstrations will be organized in Serbian cities, Dr. Tiodorovi said that this could be a great risk in the next period.
“But I must also say that those who organize it must think that it is their turn, and the question is whether there will be places for them in hospitals,” said the member of the Crisis File and presented the information that covered it.
“A 93-year-old girl died a few days ago. Isn’t that strange? Yes, the elderly dominate in hospitals, but more than 60 percent of those infected are healthy. Do young people think they are safe? They are not,” he pointed.
If the illegal hedgehogs continue, after January 20, we will have a new corona wave that will be as fierce as this one, believes Dr. Tiodorovi.
When asked when our lives will return to normal, he said that he believes that some 30 people in Serbia have already acquired immunity to kovid-19, and that with vaccination in January and February, that number will increase even more.
By late spring, about 60 percent of the population should have immunity, and then we can only talk about getting our lives back to normal, he concluded.
