The calculation of winter time in Serbia begins at night between Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, turning the clock back one hour, from 3.00 to 2.00, announced the Directorate of Measurements and Precious Metals of the Ministry of Economy.
The practice is to move the clock every last weekend in October and change to winter time, and this is regulated by law in most European countries and in Serbia.
The idea of introducing a climate change is based on the astronomical circumstance that in January the sun rises around 8 am and sets around 4 pm, while in July when the day is much longer the sun rises earlier. from 5 am and it sets after 9 pm.
On March 4, 2019, the European Parliament voted to abolish the clock change starting in 2021, so all EU countries will have to choose summer or winter time.
