Belgrade Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic said brave Belgrade firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out tonight at a nursing home in Mladenovac, in which one person suffered burns.

Tonight at 9:19 pm, a report was received that the Nursing Home at ul. Filipa Filipovića no. in Mladenovac, Vesić stated on Facebook.

At 9:24 p.m., five minutes later, four fire trucks with 14 firefighters from the Mladenovac and Vodovac stations arrived at the scene.

At 9:30 p.m., firefighters rescued a person from the burning room who had burns.

“The fire was located immediately. Three hospital beds and two lockers were burning in a 10 m2 room. The facility was inspected, there was no need to evacuate other users,” Vesić said.

He added that the Mladenovac Gerontology Center has 280 users, and the facility area is 7,500 m2, on three levels.

“The fire is out. The firefighters are still in the field. Well done guys! You are the heroes of Belgrade!” Said the deputy mayor.
