The tabloids took out the old statement from Ivan Ivanovic and launched a salvo of the worst insults

What it looks like when pro-government tabloids and the media pull out an old statement and give it a new context, while presenting the worst insults, can be seen in the example of presenter Ivan Ivanovic.

That is, on December 23, on his Twitter profile, commenting on the announcement by the President of Serbia that the first vaccines to arrive in Serbia will be received by someone from the government, among other things, he asked if you stole 187 vaccines.

His comment went unnoticed, until on December 31, pro-government tabloids carried the news that Vučić’s father was infected with the crown and was admitted to hospital. At that time a campaign was launched against Ivanovic, who was given derogatory names, among other things, it was said that he was a mercenary, because, as announced, at a time when the president’s father is in serious condition , is telling lies about vaccine theft.

Ivan Ivanović, who commented on this type of accusation on Twitter with the words “a crime can greet you from jail, and the state can greet you through Kurir”, tells H1 that his question arose from various information about the amount of vaccines that reached Serbia, that is to say by the fact that one is said by the world media and the other by the Government of Serbia.

Everything, he says, happened seven days before information on the health status of the president’s father was available.

“I do not wish anything bad to any citizen of Serbia, whoever is infected with the crown wants to recover and be with his family again, that also applies to the president’s father, when I do not know him. Furthermore, to the President of Serbia, regardless of my being a dissident, I do not wish him any harm related to his family, or to him personally, his health or anything. And that was not the subject of my tweet and my thinking at all. The messenger started it early in the morning of January 1, then they continued in the afternoon with the usual folklore, that I am a poor mercenary … The persecution to which some of us who want to be free are exposed, the threads are lost and I I am sincerely concerned that I may escalate to something much more seriously and I would not want that to happen, “Ivanovic said.
