The students were happy to return to the banks, the obligatory lesson of the first day: the world with the crown.

In previous years, students exchanged impressions of summer vacation on September 1, and at the beginning of this school year, the topics were quarantine, life with a crown, and even a stay in kovid hospitals. The danger of infection still exists, doctors warn, and if it occurs at school, teachers are obliged to inform the local public health institute, epidemiologist Predrag Kon explained to H1. The students, despite all the dangers, are happy to be back on the banks.

In addition to reading, calculating and knowing the world around them, the students of this first of September will also have to master the “didactic unit” of the world with the crown. They have already gathered their first lessons.

“We should wear a mask, have a disinfectant.”

“And we have masks and hand sanitizers.”

“Literally everyone has to do it and it makes sense.”

N1: Why?

“If I’m not mistaken, the crown does, and if you look around a bit, literally everyone is wearing masks,” students say.

The distance lesson seems to be a bit more difficult for them.

“I really don’t like it and it’s really weird when we sit so far apart.”

“Now we can’t play football in school in physical education, that’s a bit stupid of me.”

For parents, the new rules of conduct are not silly, but a sign of concern.

“From what I can see, everything is as it should be and there is no need to worry.”

“I think the groups are small and if you take care of the use of masks and hygiene, it will be fine,” say the parents.

“You’ve also seen here, everyone is very disciplined, everyone wears protective masks, the teachers will tell you about it. So I haven’t received a report since this morning that something is screeching somewhere, that it hasn’t started. “said Education Minister Mladen Šarčević.

In a New Belgrade school, however, it creaked, the correspondence we found shows. Parents are dissatisfied with the teachers and they with the lack of protective equipment.

“Several teachers, including our new teacher unfortunately, wore masks under the nose. As you know, the nose is currently considered the main target of the first kovid attack,” a parent’s email reads.

“Since the employer did not provide the working conditions that belong to me … and I belong to the risk group, I was forced to open the sick leave until further notice in consultation with the chosen doctor,” said a professor in an email electronic.

Aleksandar Markov from the Forum of Belgrade Gymnasiums also confirms that the supply of masks is not the same in all schools. He says the situation varies from one local government to another. The epidemiological is not a sufficient argument for him that it was safe to return the students to the banks.

“Somehow I don’t get the impression that we had to get there in time to show once again how we are leaders in the region, and that’s what will happen next, and what will happen next, I hope that somehow we can get out of the situation”. Markov said.

Judging by the Prime Minister’s statement, we will go out, because, he says, all the scenarios have been worked out in detail.

“In the next two weeks, that is, two weeks after the start of the school year, we must isolate all the cases, to really see what effects this going to school has on us,” Prime Minister Ana Brnabić said.

And what effects the virus now has on schoolchildren and to what extent it is present in these groups will be monitored in the future by the Trampoline Institute team.
