The EU Office in Pristina announced today that it is withdrawing from the monitoring process of the election of new members for the council of prosecutors of the false state of Kosovo and the election of the chief prosecutors.
The EU made that decision just one day after the US embassy in Pristina announced that it was withdrawing from that process.
– We have taken into account the concerns expressed by the United States. The EU also has its dilemmas and has decided to withdraw from the process as well, until it is reviewed and implemented in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, said the spokesman for the EU Office in Kosovo, Dinka Zivalj.
The US Embassy announced late Friday that it had withdrawn from the oversight process of the election of new KPC members and the election of chief prosecutors. The embassy reacted drastically to the process of electing new members of the council of prosecutors and chief prosecutors, for which reason it announced that it would not continue to monitor said process.
The statement also indicated that the electoral process was functionally interrupted because it lacked transparency, and emphasized that the entire procedure was in conflict of interest.
