The son (17) of a famous Belgrade businessman killed the police Maja in Budva on a yacht

MS (17), son of a Belgrade businessman, yesterday in the Kotor Court of First Instance, an intensified supervisory educational measure was imposed because he caused a maritime accident in the open sea near Mogren beach in Budva on July 11, in which the police officer Maja Sljivancanin (31) died. while her fiancé Vladan Stanišić (36) was seriously injured.

Lawyer Zdravko Begovic, a defense lawyer for a teenager, told Montenegrin media that the intensified supervisory educational measure will be implemented by the Center for Social Work in Belgrade, which will monitor the behavior of the MS.

In addition to the educational measure, the judge of the Kotor Court of First Instance, Momirka Tešić Marović, imposed a special socially useful work measure on the young man.

We remind you that the indictment charged MS with negligently causing a maritime accident offshore near Budva. In mid-August, the Kotor Court of First Instance accepted a bail of 332,000 euros offered by the family for MS to defend itself against freedom. On July 11, she ran into a fishing boat with Maja Sljivancanin and Vladan Stanisic on their luxury yacht and cut it in half. Unfortunately, there was no rescue for Maja, though Vladan, seriously injured, tried to help him. He broke his hip, while the boat’s motor propeller injured his leg. As we have learned, Vladan is waiting for hip surgery at Kotor hospital.

The young man told the court that he did not see the boat in front of him, while maritime experts determined that it caused a maritime accident because it did not comply with international standards on the prevention of collisions at sea, as well as with article 10 of the Law of Maritime Security.
