Brnabic said that Serbia is very interested in receiving the vaccine, as soon as it is approved by the relevant institutions, and that Serbia has already signed prior agreements with certain pharmaceutical companies that are working on the vaccine.
He stated that the vaccine will be free for all citizens of Serbia. The Regional Director of the World Health Organization for Europe, Kluge, welcomed the measures and efforts of Serbia in the fight against KOVID-19, adding that remarkable progress has been made in this field and noted that the information on the government plans for further development and modernization of the health system and formation of databases.
Kluge said that, in the fight against the pandemic, special attention should be paid to schools, that the application and effect of the measures on the school system and the education of children should be carefully monitored, in order to prevent this generation of pupils and students are victims of KOVID-19. He also mentioned the epidemiological difference between primary and secondary schools.
The importance of the contact monitoring system was also discussed at the meeting, to obtain the most accurate data on the number of patients, and Prime Minister Brnabić noted that Serbia is increasing the number of citizens examined every day. At the start of the pandemic, we were only able to test 800 people, while today we test 12,000 PCR tests daily, Brnabić said.
The meeting was also attended by Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar, whose call for the first quantity of future vaccines in all countries to be uniformly provided to health workers in covid hospitals was approved by Kluge, who confirmed that the three percent will go to all health institutions and workers. in social protection.
