The traffic accident occurred on November 21, half an hour after midnight, when Jovana was seriously injured at the intersection of Nemanjića Boulevard and Ulica Pariske Komune in Niš. Eight days later, he lost the battle for his life at the Nis Clinical Center. She was buried on December 1.
On the fateful night, she was at the wheel of her “BMW”, and then Mladen Gigić (20) collided with her at a speed of more than 100 kilometers per hour. Now he is arrested.
By the way, Mladen is the brother of Partizan footballer Petar Gigić (23), who currently plays on loan for Ujpest, Hungary.
Jovana’s sister, MM (20), told Kurir that those closest to them still cannot understand that she is gone.
“Jovana was the pride and flower of our family. Such a kind and good person. She finished her master’s degree in architecture on September 29 and was preparing for a job in the profession because she passed all the exams on time. She was diligent, hard-working “But she also loved to travel and draw. Everything that happened to us is terrible. We are all in shock,” says her sister, adding that Jovana took her friend home that night.
Jovana was at the traffic light at the entrance to Sveti Sava park and crossed the intersection onto the street where the primary school “21.maj” is located.
