BELGRADE – Today at 9:00 a.m. a new session of the Crisis Staff will be held, due to the current epidemiological situation, the media reported.
The highest number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic was registered yesterday in Serbia: 6,109 and 29 people died.
There are 186 patients on respirators, announced the Ministry of Health.
New measures went into effect on Tuesday that limited the work of catering services, shops, shopping centers, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and night transport was abolished in Belgrade.
Jankovic: The headquarters is probably trying to tighten the measures
Immunologist and crisis staff member Dr. Srdja Jankovic said Thursday that he did not want to prejudge, but hoped that the tightening of some measures would be considered at today’s staff session.
“A certain tightening of the measures will be considered, firstly shortening the work of cafes, restaurants and other facilities to 6 in the afternoon instead of working until 9 at night, which was the proposal of the initial medical part of the Crisis staff, “Kurir told television last night.
Dr. Janković also pointed out that the essence is in the implementation of measures.
“So not only in what we are going to toughen up, but also in that what we had in place and what we have in place all the time, must be implemented until the end,” Janković said.
Let us remind you, in the last 24 hours, 18,980 citizens were tested for coronavirus in Serbia, of which 6,109 were positive and 29 patients died. There are 186 patients on respirators.
