Ranko Ristic from the company “Zastava Arms USA”, an authorized representative of the Kragujevac arms factory in the United States, also confirmed that this did not happen by accident and that the Serbian manufacturer’s weapons are among the best-selling in the entire ocean.
Earlier this year, “Zastava” presented her program in Las Vegas, at the largest American arms fair “Shot Shonj”, and interest in her hunting and sports models was great.
Many at the time expressed skepticism that Zastava could enter the extremely demanding US market, but fortunately they were wrong. When the news came, many doubted our ambitions because we announced a drastic increase in imports from Serbia and ‘Zastava Oruzja’. He adds that this is the only case in which Americans have paid so much attention to rifles that come from such a small country, and that it is little known for its weapons production.
“That assures us that the only reason for their interest is actually the quality of the weapons produced by these great people from Kragujevac, whom I would like to thank this time,” says Ristic.
In just 11 months, more than 150 tons of various models of sporting weapons manufactured by the diligent hands of Serbian gunsmiths from Kragujevac were imported and delivered to the end customer. Everything that is imported is sold almost immediately, because there are many orders.
The most popular Z-PAP model, the popular “Kalashnikov” has become the most sought after model among major American dealers. There have even been profiles on social media released by fans of that semi-automatic rifle. And then, like the icing on the cake, came the news that famous basketball player James Gist had become his client.

The folks at “Zastava Arms USA” finally got in touch with James Gist, a former basketball player for Zvezda, Partizan, Panathinaikos and the San Antonio Spurs.
