BELGRADE – Veljko Belivuk (36) and members of his group should be questioned today at the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office, as most of them will be detained for up to 48 hours early tomorrow morning.

Belivuk and 18 other people arrested in yesterday’s action will be taken to the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Special Court building in Belgrade.

After the hearing, the prosecution will decide when to request the arrest of the total of 19 detainees. The investigating judge of the Special Court will decide on the arrest.

Belivuk and others are suspected of committing the crimes of association for the purpose of committing crimes, aggravated murder and kidnapping as members of an organized criminal group.

In addition to Belivuk, Marko Miljković (29) was arrested, as well as VD (1974), AV (1981), MB (1984), DT (1982), NS (1987), NL (1979), MT (1987), VG 1982), FI (1991), SL (1985), BK (1987), V G. (1984), MB (1988), NS (1991), N.Đ. (1985), JC (1979) and NJ (1971).

During the search of apartments and other premises in some 30 localities, which were used by the suspects, objects and traces of crimes committed were found, the Ministry of the Interior announced last night.
