The trial for the death of two workers at the Namenska factory in Lucani has been postponed because the accused factory manager, Rados Milovanovic, did not appear.
As explained by his defense attorney, Milovanović did not appear for health reasons and the medical report presented to the court shows that he has a heart problem.
Because all defendants must be present at the trial, the trial was postponed to December 17.
Milovan, the father of the late Milomir Milivojevic (25), said in the courtroom that he believes the trial is being deliberately obstructed and will never end.
– That man is 77 years old and I don’t think he will appear at the trial again. We have all the evidence that he is guilty. It means that there will be a constant delay, that he is sick, and that the man is older. I wish him a hundred years of life, but may he end up where he belongs, and that is in jail. Because, so far, a total of 21 workers in this factory have died in agony at the Military Medical Academy – said Milivojevic.
Milivojevic said that the day before the trial, everyone in Lucani knew that Rados Milovanovic was not coming to work and that the trial would be postponed.
– The court does not have the capacity to hold a trial and did not provide space for the public. I should mention that today I was in court 116 times since the case began – explains the father of the victim Milomir.
At the next hearing, the injured parties will be questioned as witnesses. Radoš Milovanović, CEO, Vladimir Lončarević, head of the rocket fuel plant, and Tomo Stojić, head of the security and protection sector of that military factory, are charged with their deaths, that is, of a serious crime against general security.
