Multi-million dollar fraud and theft through Customs President of the Serbian Football Association Slavisa Kokeza carried out with the help of the former director of the Customs Administration Miloš Tomić, as well as Željko Popović, the director of the Belgrade Customs, and all of them involved people from the police as well as people from criminal structures.
As Objektiv exclusively finds out, the agreements were made, among other things, on the estate of Kokeza’s friend, football coach Mladen Krstajić, in the Đala settlement near the border crossing with Hungary. He is often seen in a “dangerous” society. Vladimir Rebić, the police director, who is now announcing new arrests in the Veljko Belivuk criminal gang case and connections to police people.
– Slaviša Kokeza took advantage of his long friendship with Mladen Krstajic to drag him into the customs business. They were assisted by police officers Milan Brojčin, Momir Savić and Branislav Babić, who, instead of being punished for criminal activities, were promoted by order of the high police. The meetings at the farm were also attended by the then head of the UCP, Dejan Kovacevic, and the manager of the Belgrade Customs, Zeljko Popovic, reveals the source.
DIRTY POLICE
This criminal scheme has been elaborated in detail and has been in place for five years.
– For years, Kokeza, Krstajić, then UKP director Dejan Kovačević and Belgrade Customs manager Zeljko Popović met at the Krstajić estate near the Đala border crossing.
Kokez handled customs through Tomić, who was recently replaced, and police officer Milan Brojčin, Krstajić’s pastor, played an important role and oversaw that everything went smoothly on the field after the team agreed on the hacienda. Police officers Momir Savić and Branislav Babić were attacked by the Police Internal Control Sector in 2018 due to criminal activities, but the investigation against them was stopped in vain on someone’s order, the interlocutor added. Instead of punishing dirty cops for helping the customs mafia run by Kokez, as we have learned, they have been promoted.
Thus, the Krstajić pastor, Milan Brojčin, rose to the post of commander of the Horgoš border crossing, and the police officer Momir Savić, who has godfather relations with him, became the head of operations of the border crossing in Horgoš 1 and 2, Đala, Kelebija and Bački breg.
