Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced tonight that pension growth could be 6%.
– The growth of pensions could be six percent, which would be the highest growth in recent years – he said.
As you said, those who had a pension of 30,000 dinars in 2012 will now have almost 40,000 dinars.
– 30.9 percent is the total increase. For those who had 20,000 dinars in 2012, their pension will now be 27,499, representing an increase of 37.5 percent, Vučić said.
He added that we must not forget that pensioners, as well as all adult citizens, meanwhile, received 100 euros, in addition to a one-time assistance.
When asked about the criticism of the Fiscal Council on the increase in pensions, Vučić said that he likes to hear the objections of that body, because they always find sufficient reasons to criticize the government from the side of austerity, and not political criticism. .
He added that he expects the minimum wage to be raised by another 2,000 dinars this year.
As you said, in 2012, the minimum was 15,600 dinars.
– If we manage to raise another 2,000 dinars, up to 32,000 dinars, if we do, I hope we will. That’s double the increase in eight years. That’s not a 100 percent real money increase, but a 65 percent increase, and you can see how much the situation in Serbia has changed, Vučić said.
