– There are thousands of children with Sonja today, I know, because she was the mother of those children. Many Gorani called me. I want to thank you very much. The people of Prizren, the people of Štrpce … She did not leave her patients in the hospital – said the husband who was separating from his wife.
Verses for wife: You are my life
– I am epic and tough in nature. I’m going to say something that you loved – said Zivojin Rakocevic, saying goodbye to his wife: “You saw my life closely, Primisak, movement, word that I didn’t say I saw my cramp and when you stay behind I felt my illness in the distance You are in my eye while You’re still gas the first new laugh germinated and when I got home late I knew the whole story just from my face.
– Our life was unusual in every way. We met at student demonstrations in Pristina. And Pristina has become the heart of our urban life. We got married in front of military armored vehicles at the Church of St. Nicholas in Pristina. It was the Serbs’ first wedding after the war, Rakocevic recalled by his wife’s grave.
On the day of the Serbian pogrom and violence against Serbian shrines on March 17, 2004, Zivojin recalled that his friend Dragan Ilic had found Sonja and her son Dimitrij in a house by the road.
– He grabbed them, without documents and took anything to a safe place. When I arrived two days later, my Sonja told me: ‘You are alive’. And that was enough for me. “
– Sonja and I dream of a free Kosovo. Sonja, with her suffering, as only Kosovo Serbs know how to suffer. And with their waiting, as only Kosovo Serbs know how to wait. I was sure that we would both welcome freedom, and now I understand that she has gone to eternal freedom, and that I will continue to fight for this earthly freedom and that my Simonida, my Dimitrije and my brothers and godparents will fight for that crumb. human dignity and freedom – Zivojin Rakocevic continued his speech and added: – I want to say that Sonja, together with mother Irina, Dr. Zvonko Stasevic, Dr. Dragan Peric … never, at any time, did they abandon their people ” Rakocevic recalled how Dr. Sonja Rakočević began a friendship with her mother Irina, a nun and a doctor, in whose brotherhood she will rest.
– Thank you, Mother Irina. She was part of his brotherhood, the organization of Saint John the Merciful. I tell my Sonja that God has rewarded me with a great gift and I am grateful to him. And God told me at Christmas that he was giving me that gift for eternity – said Zivojin.
