He recalled that this is the sixth minimum that employees of these sectors receive in Serbia, which means that half of the business year in these companies was covered by the State with the payment of wages.
The counselor has indicated that the Tax Administration has published a list of 12,037 companies that have exercised the right to state aid. The list includes companies in the catering and tourism sector.
“The money will be paid to companies in special assigned accounts opened by the Treasury Administration for this purpose,” said Minister Mali, adding that the payment procedure has been simplified so that only one visit from one person is needed. authorized to the competent branch of the Treasury. .
The counselor recalled that previously subsidies were paid to hoteliers amounting to 350 euros per single bed and 150 euros per accommodation unit, for which 1,200 million dinars were allocated. Mali also said that the budget for next year foresees 500 million dinars for the distribution of vouchers for subsidized holidays in Serbia, and then it is quite clear that the state systematically and systematically covers sectoral problems in this area.
The minister recalled that total state allocations since the beginning of the year to support the economy will reach six billion euros, or about 700 billion dinars, and that this is one of the largest support packages in the region.
“At the end of next week we will pay 5,000 dinars to pensioners and we will clearly show that our country is liquid at the end of the year, when many countries report exhausted resources and that public finances are under control,” Mali said.
The finance minister said tourism in Serbia was the hardest hit by the corona virus pandemic. “But despite all the adversities that befell us, we found potential in domestic tourism and tourist destinations in the country, which experienced a real boom,” Mali said.
According to him, despite all the turmoil that has affected both the world and the Serbian economy, Serbia will be able to achieve one of the best results in Europe when it comes to the economy and record a drop in GDP of just one or even less than one. percent.
“In the conditions of economic and health crisis of this magnitude, it is a great result,” concluded Mali and assured that the conditions will be created for even greater and faster economic growth, the preservation of employment and the standard of living of the population. .
