Tomorrow marks the 22nd anniversary of NATO’s criminal aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

The bombardment lasted 78 days (until June 10) without the consent of the United Nations Security Council. This is the second consecutive military intervention by NATO, after the bombing of the Republika Srpska in Operation Deliberate Force in 1995, and the largest military conflict in the former state since World War II.

One of the leaders of the Democratic Front and president of the Serbian New Democracy, Andrija Mandic, pointed out that the former regime of Milo Djukanovic actively participated in the service of aggression against his own country, so his conscience is not clear, and that the previous government never wanted to speak openly about NATO aggression, nor did it want to confront the recent past of Montenegro and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Together with some Serbian politicians, they called for a bombing that was supposed to overthrow the Slobodan Milosevic regime, and at the same time blatantly convinced the public that they saved Montenegro from suffering. From this distance, it is clear that the bombing was not aimed to overthrow Slobodan Milosevic, but rather to break up the joint state of Serbia and Montenegro and the formation of a false state of Kosovo, “emphasized Mandić.

He said it was a long process of betrayal and systematic destruction, which was prepared for the people by the Democratic Party of Socialists in its disastrous political trajectory.

“The depth of their betrayal went so far that they did not even allow the Yugoslav army members who died in this tragic aggression to be paid for mail.”

With the recent change of government, Mandic adds, that shameful attitude will also change, so that relatives and companions of the country’s fallen heroes can freely visit the monuments that witness their suffering tomorrow, and lay wreaths and light candles. In those places.

“It is not only our duty, but also our duty to respect those who were honorable and courageous, and who did not spare their lives in defense of their family, their people and their state. If we do not respect their sacrifice, then we will do it on the side of those which are “NATO bombs in the FRY. This act would prove unworthy of great and glorious ancestors and would betray the vote of Kosovo from Montenegro of Njegos, “concluded Mandic.

It should be remembered that during the NATO bombing, according to certain estimates, some 3,500 people died, while more than 12,000 were injured. Furthermore, in the attacks that lasted for 78 days without interruption, infrastructure, commercial facilities, schools, health institutions, the media, cultural monuments, churches and monasteries were seriously damaged; and the total damage is estimated at nearly $ 100 billion.
