In the previous session of the Crisis Staff, the epidemiologist and member of the Crisis Staff, Dr. Branislav Tiodorović, said that the measures had a time limit until Friday.
At that time, the members of the medical part of the Crisis Staff opposed the relaxation of the measures, but the arguments of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the City of Belgrade were heard, and in the end, the proposal of extend the working day.
Srdja Jankovic, immunologist and member of the Crisis Staff for the fight against kovid 19, said on that occasion that he did not see scope for additional mitigation measures at this time and that “it would be better if the working hours were not extended on Monday”, but that was his personal opinion. , the agencies report.
He indicated that the working day was extended after the discussion and arguments presented by the economic part of the Crisis Staff.
“It would be better if we didn’t extend the working hours, but that’s my personal opinion. The decision makers listen to us, but also to everyone else. The Crisis Staff should also consider possible measures for the New Year holidays. Janković stated that the medical part of the staff will agree on the “red line” on which they will not budge. It is important, as he said, that there are no gatherings for the New Year, and he invited citizens to celebrate the holiday at home with their families.
