. Her son died in a fire that broke out in the bar of an old cafe inside the family home, which housed a pellet stove. Neither the parents nor the firefighters who put out the fire know for sure how it broke out.

– Both father and son burn the stove regularly. It is not true that the boy was alone in the house when the fire broke out. In the apartment, which is separated from the loggia by a corridor, there was a father, and the boy went to the loggia because his dad had back pain, said the neighbor, who participated in cleaning the loggia after the fire.

In that room, which also had tables from the old cafe, as well as the bar, everything was smashed, and the apartment door melted, although, fortunately, the fire did not spread into the house.

– Only one boy knows what happened. He is a good and mature boy, who knew what he was doing, and the pellet stove is normal, as is “Smederevo”. It is not a spaceship to say that it was exposed to danger – said the neighbor.

At the Vojvodina Institute for the Protection of the Health of Children and Young People in Novi Sad, everything seems to be successful in treating the seriously injured child SG (13) and in recovering as soon as possible from serious injuries that endanger his lifetime.

– SG is in a serious general condition and in danger of death. He was treated in the Intensive Care Unit, where he was connected to mechanical ventilation. The large and severe burns, which he suffered in the fire, are regularly bandaged, Dr. Dejan Dimitrijevic, the doctor on duty, told “Novosti” on Sunday.

Noting that the young patient also received sleeping pills, Dr. Dimitrijevic added that the boy’s condition was under control.

– The prognosis is uncertain, but everything seems to be a good result of the treatment – emphasized the doctor on duty at the Children’s Hospital of Novi Sad.
