Zoran Jaksic de Zrenjanin, one of the alleged leaders of the infamous América clan, was again attacked by Peruvian investigators, due to a secret tunnel that was discovered in one of the most guarded prisons, where Jaksic was imprisoned.
According to the Republic portal, the passage was discovered near the “Kastro Kastro” prison and was excavated so that Jaksic, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for drug trafficking, could escape for it.
Mexican in the package
– Jaksic and a Mexican, who is behind bars due to drugs, were supposed to escape through the tunnel. Through intelligence work we managed to find out that the Sinaloa Cartel criminal group paid more than half a million dollars for the tunnel – said the colonel of the specialized crime brigade, Víctor Revoredo. He revealed to the Republic that the first step the cartel took was to hire six people to dig the tunnel. Among them were Colombians, Mexicans and men of other nationalities.
The tunnel was supposed to run from Pavilion 1A of the “Castro Castro” prison to a nearby restaurant, owned by Jaksic.
– Construction of the “underground escape route” is believed to have started two years ago. However, the police received a warning that Jaksic was making plans to escape, and because of this, in February 2019, he was suddenly transferred to another prison. Now it has been revealed that the criminal group that dug the tunnel for him, when they learned of Jaksic’s move, suspended the works and filled the excavated part of the tunnel with sandbags. They did not bury the tunnel, because they were waiting a moment for it to be returned to “Castro” and then for the works to continue, the investigators discovered.
It’s not your first time
Let us remind you that in February 2019, most likely when he realized that he could not use the tunnel, the Serb tried to escape when the guards took him for a medical examination. He allegedly complained of difficulties, forcing the prison administration to transfer him to hospital. However, he tried to use it to escape, but the guards reacted quickly and thwarted his plan.
The leader of the group América also showed that he has experience in planning spectacular escapes in 2017, when he allegedly paid and personally organized for drug lord Jorge Medina Gaviliani to escape from prison in Peru with the help of two policemen in a truck that he took garbage out of jail.
His sentence for cocaine was overturned
Jaksic was arrested in July 2016 in Operation “Swallow”, and the Peruvian police discovered that he used up to 42 false identities.
He was recently released under house arrest after the Court of Appeals overturned his 25-year prison sentence for smuggling 800 kilograms of cocaine.
The prostitutes ran it behind bars
During the prison stay, as determined by the police based on recorded telephone conversations, the prostitutes went to visit Zoran Jakšić. Apparently, the criminal Oscar Rodríguez Gómez, known by the nickname Turbo, arranged and paid for his wives to come, and allegedly had a guard who missed them. He was also visited in prison by a journalist, who later told the media that his cell phone looked like the nightclubs of the 90s, that he even had two mobile phones, a television and books, in addition to dominating the pattern of tiger patterns. .
– Everything can be bought here. They bring me the food I want. A bottle of whiskey costs $ 100 plus bribes, Jaksic’s words relayed.
