The writer Vinka Perišić-Šarenac passed away as a result of the corona virus at the age of 63, which means that the Montenegrin literary community lost the golden pen of both the great man and the pedagogue.
“Vinka made a great contribution to the development of our society. She is the organizer and coordinator of our Bijeljina Cultural Spring project. She gave her great contribution to the work and progress of our society and our society has lost a great friend and partner. Vinka was born in Gorazde in 1957, and graduated from the Sarajevo Faculty of Philosophy, study group History of Yugoslav Literature and Serbo-Croatian Language in 1980. She worked as a literature teacher at the Gymnasium in Gorazde, and last year she worked as a teacher of Literature in Herceg Novi.
He has won numerous awards: First Prize in the Lim Priboj on Lim Poetry Afternoons, first prize “Wolf’s Feather”, first prize for love poetry “Golden Poetry Ring” Subotica-Palić, first prize for love poetry of the Yugoslavia Novi Sad 2005 Association of the Disabled. “Silver albatross” from the Frankfurt am Main Diaspora Writers Association.
He was a member of the Association of Writers of Montenegro, a member of the Writers of Serbia and an honorary member of the Serbian Literary Association “Milos Crnjanski” in Sweden. He published books of poems: “Zavatreni krug”, “Pjesme radosti”, “Zlatno doba”, “Njezno sa zgaristima”, “A shot for a white seagull”, “Acacia and white snow”, “I will scream if you don’t try anything”.
