Dr. Tatjana Adžić Vukićević said the first patients were admitted with bilateral pneumonia and respiratory failure.

“A few minutes ago, colleagues from the Infectious Diseases Clinic, which is still our admission triage center, informed us that about 20 patients are arriving who require some form of respiratory support,” added Adzic Vukicevic.

He stated that doctors, nurses, X-ray technicians and laboratory technicians work at the hospital on three shifts.

He pointed out that people come to the hospital on their own and that this should not be done.

“I understand the people, they are scared and tired, they have a hard time queuing at the kovid clinics. But I call on everyone to be patient and calm down and keep going through the reception and triage centers and the kovid clinics where they will be “Our colleagues will assess whether they are for home treatment or will refer them to us,” said the doctor.

“We cannot lie to people that we do not have a place, that we have a place, but in order not to create too much crowd and too much chaos in Belgrade, go through the reception and triage centers. As soon as the conditions are met, we will inform our citizens through the media come directly to our hospital for admission, “said Adžić Vukićević.

Dr Nebojsa Ladjevic says they have formed an intensive care unit and the first patients have already been admitted.

“Here we have 250 beds in the intensive care unit, there are almost the same number of patients on a ventilator throughout Serbia, so you can imagine how much capacity it has and if we take the hospital in Krusevac, you will see how important it is for our health system. “. Ladjevic said.
