In the session of the Municipal Headquarters for Emergency Situations, Ilic specified that 45 Jura workers fell ill in September, and during this month 23 of them, while Jura Shinvon has at least nine more patients.

The epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović added that the Nis Institute of Public Health and the competent inspectorates have determined that “there is not implementation of all measures” in Jura, so the city of Nis is asking the Republic for help to deal with that factory.

“We did not decide on the closure of factories, certain ministries must participate, first of all the Ministry of Labor, and the inspections, first of all the labor inspection and health inspection,” said Tiodorović.

He said the Nis Institute of Public Health offered help to “Juri” to suppress the epidemic.

“The knowledge of our inspections and the Nis Public Health Institute showed that there is not implementation of all the measures in ‘Jura’. That is why we will ask for the help of the Republic, certain state bodies must declare about the situation there, 2,500 people work there “Tiodorović told reporters.

The epidemiologist of the Institute of Public Health, Mirko Ilić, claimed that the corona virus also appeared in the “Jura Shin Von” factory, where eight patients have been registered since the end of September.

“In September, we had a total of 135 new patients with KOVID-19 in the districts of Nisava and Toplica, and in the first nine days of October, 66 new patients were registered. In Nis, we have 45 patients in September and 23 in October. “Ilić said.

He noted that the epidemiological situation in schools in the area of the districts of Nisava and Toplica is calm. “Since the start of the school year, in the two-district area, we have only had four sick students in elementary schools and three sick students in secondary schools,” Ilic said.

According to him, the situation is stable in nursing homes and other social welfare institutions, which is why, as he said, epidemics have been registered in all households since mid-September.

The director of the Nis Health Center, Milorad Jerkan, said that 250 to 300 patients are examined daily at the KOVID outpatient clinic of that institution, a fifth of which is for the first examination.

He said the corona virus PCR test confirms two to five patients a day. Almost 60 percent of positive patients are between 30 and 40 years old, 20 percent between 17 and 25 years old, and only 2 percent of patients are over 65 years old.
