Dragana M. (21) from Smederevo was arrested on suspicion of neglecting and abusing her two-year-old son. She suspects that she left him alone in a locked house even for a few days, just to go prostitution!

As we learn, her mother found her grandson hungry and disorderly several times in a rented house in Smederevo, where her daughter lived alone with her son.

– Dragan just didn’t have a place! When the yellow minute came, he left the boy unsupervised and left the house even for a few days. Fortunately, his mother discovered that something strange was happening as soon as he refused to answer his mobile phone. The first time he was away from home for two days, and after that, he often left the house and left the child alone for two or three days. When he left the child for the first time, the mother went to check where he was and what was happening. It’s really lucky that she had the key to the house where Dragana lived alone with her son – says our investigation source and reveals that the mother found a horrible scene.

– The woman was in shock! She found her grandson on the ground. He was messy, hungry and crying incessantly. She immediately bathed the boy, changed her clothes, and fed her. He stayed in the house until his daughter returned to ask where he was and what he was doing. However, she boldly responded “that he does not have to pay his bills” and did not want to admit that she was a prostitute, although the woman found out from her acquaintances, who met Dragan in suspicious places in the city – reveals our interlocutor.

The Smederevo Social Work Center was also informed about this case, which should decide what is best for the child.

As we have learned unofficially, the police are checking whether the information that Dragana left her son for prostitution is correct.
– Dragana’s mother accepted her grandson with all her heart and hoped that her daughter would change because she became a mother. He tried to influence her in every way possible, but failed, says our source.

The suspect was detained for up to 48 hours, after which she will be taken to the Smederevo Basic Prosecutor’s Office for questioning, along with a criminal complaint.

– She just didn’t want to say anything or answer questions. Her mother cried and tried to get answers from her daughter, but to no avail. The grandmother insistently asked for an answer why she did not leave the child with her, but it was not worth it – says our interlocutor.

After the first outbreak, Dragana continued to act irresponsibly, as if he had no children.

– Her mother knew her daughter walked away as soon as he didn’t answer her phone. It happened that Dragana returned the same day or the next day. She was absent for three days the longest, and anything could have happened to the baby if it weren’t for the worried grandmother. Sometimes she would take her granddaughter to her house, which is on the other side of town. This past weekend, September 19 and 20, she found her granddaughter alone again and was then overwhelmed. She called the police and denounced her daughter for neglecting the boy – says our source, who insisted that we not give her her name.
