The Government of Serbia has adopted a new decree!

In today’s session, the Serbian Government adopted amendments to the Decree on Incentive Distribution in Agriculture and Rural Development in 2020, which refer to IPARD incentives, the Serbian Government announced.

These changes will allow the users of these funds to exercise their payment rights in the field of agriculture and rural development within the established period.

For the present and the next two years, the money will be used for programs related to improving competitiveness, investments in physical assets of agricultural farms (promoting the establishment of new perennial production plantations and improving primary agricultural production).

The changes also stipulate that the money will be used for investments in the processing and marketing of agricultural and food products and fishery products (support for the promotion of wine and brandy, control stamps for agri-food products and wine registration stamps, acquisition of equipment in the meat, milk and beer sector) and risk management.

The session approved the amended Decree that determines the Financial Support Program for agricultural producers through the purchase of market surpluses of fattening cattle in difficult economic conditions due to the KOVID-19 pandemic.

A subsidy of 20,000 dinars will be paid to the agricultural producer of beef cattle for each head sold in the period from 5 September to 30 October.

Government members also adopted the Development Directorates of the Science and Technology Park Ltd. Nis for the needs of accelerated technological development of the Republic of Serbia and the Development Program of NTP Ltd. Nis for the period 2020-2025. years.

“Innovations are recognized as a key factor in the competitiveness of the economy and the country’s development, and technology parks as an organizational form with a great impact on the development of the economy,” the government said in a statement.

The NTP Nis program envisages the attraction of national and foreign innovative technology and development companies and the creation of conditions for their development by connecting with scientific research and higher education organizations, hiring young trained staff and creating conditions for the return of experts from abroad.

The objectives are oriented to provide infrastructure support and professional services to companies and scientific research and innovation organizations to connect them and bring new products to market more quickly.
