The latest government decree on measures to prevent and suppress the infectious disease kovid 19 was published yesterday in the Official Gazette of Serbia, detailing the latest measures that will come into force on Sunday, some that have been in force for a long time, but also some that have caused confusion.
What is also stated here is that children over the age of four are required to wear protective masks, a measure that has not been talked about or discussed in public lately.
Entry into Serbia, PCR test, quarantine
Article 4 explains in detail the latest decision of the Government of Serbia related to the entry of foreign citizens and our people living abroad.
Foreigners can enter the Republic of Serbia only if they have a negative RT-PCR test for the presence of the SARS-KoV-2 virus, no longer than 48 hours, issued by the reference laboratory of the country from which they come or enter the Republic of Serbia. Passengers must be screened before traveling, not upon arrival in the Republic of Serbia. They cannot enter Serbia if they have not been tested and do not have a negative RT-PCR test for the presence of the SARS-KoV-2 virus, no more than 48 hours, and they must return to the country they came from. If there is a delay in entry into the Republic of Serbia, which cannot be attributed to the fault of the passenger, but is a consequence of an external event that could not be predicted, avoided or eliminated (flight delay, bus departure, trains, etc.), then the test cannot be longer than 72 hours when entering the Republic of Serbia.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia and foreign citizens who have obtained temporary residence or permanent residence in Serbia, as well as members of the diplomatic and consular staff and their families, upon entering the Republic of Serbia, who do not have proof of RT -PCR negative for the SARS-KoV -2 virus, issued by the reference laboratory of the country where they come from, that is, entering Serbia, no more than 48 hours from the date of issuance of the results, the quarantine measure at home is determined for a period of 10 days.
The measure referred to in paragraph 2 of this article will cease to be valid if the person to whom it is assigned during the period of the measure receives a negative RT-PCR test for the presence of the SARS-KoV-2 virus released by the reference laboratory.
As established in article 5 of this Decree, at the entrance to Serbia, in visible places at border crossings to meet all people who cross the state border, a written notice is placed, a health warning about the measures to continue to prevent occurrence, spread and deletion. Infectious diseases KOVID-19 caused by the SARS-KoV-2 virus and other written notifications in the form of a health warning can be sent during passport control.
What is also mentioned in the decree, and which confused many, is the article related to children and the use of masks, a topic that has not been discussed at all in recent months.
Children over 4 years old must wear masks.
That is, Article 6 contains well known rules about where the mask is mandatory, but it also adds this:
– Parents of underage children or children with special needs, that is, their guardians, are obliged to ensure that children over 4 years of age wear a protective mask in the cases mentioned in para. 1-3. of this article (indoors and outdoors when it is not possible to provide a distance greater than two meters).

Leaving the hospital without a follow-up test
Article 2 defines hospital treatment, home isolation, but also protocols for leaving the hospital, so it is established that a control test in the crown is not necessary for the patient to abandon hospital treatment.
