The shooting took place in the vicinity of the Novi Pazar Police Department, in broad daylight when large numbers of passers-by were on the street. According to the witness, a policeman was the first to come to the aid of the injured woman.
According to local media, the injured woman is in surgery at the General Hospital of Novi Pazar and her life is in danger. Some media reported that she was hit in the chest.
MK, who was the target of the attack, was also injured. Some outlets report that he was shot in the legs, while others claim that he was shot in the back.
Images that appeared on social media and were posted by “Sana press” show several disturbed passersby gathered around an injured man lying on the grass by the road. At that moment an ambulance arrived, which was greeted by passers-by and directed to the wounded man.
Some media reported that a child was with the injured passerby at the time he was hit by the bullet, although this information has not been officially confirmed.
A team of doctors ran out of the ambulance with a stretcher and transported the injured man to hospital.
