The first five coronavirus patients were admitted to the temporary covid hospital in the “Chair” ward in Nis, said the deputy director of that hospital and deputy director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Goran Mitrović.
“Last night we received a patient who was in rehabilitation at the Institute in Niska Banja, and today three more patients from that institution. Meanwhile, a young man from Kikinda who plays football at Radnicki in Nis was placed in the chair” Mitrovic said.
He stated that all patients have a milder clinical picture, but that they must be in a temporary hospital, since they are positive and can transmit the infection.
“Patients from Nis with a milder clinical picture go home in self-isolation, and those outside of Nis, who are here, have to go to the presidency,” Mitrović said.
Currently, 195 patients are being treated in the Kovid hospitals of the Nis Clinical Center, and 11 of them are in serious condition and are connected to a ventilator.
In the last 24 hours, four patients with confirmed coronavirus died at the Clinical Center.
