The trial on the lawsuit of the journalist from Danas Zorica Miladinovic against Dejan Djordjevic, who was mentioned as a buyer of the Megatrend University of Belgrade, started today in the Court of First Instance in Nis, but the first hearing was not held because the defendant did not was duly cited.
In Nis, in court – a journalist who is suing a former, alleged buyer of “Megatrend”, due to damage to parts and reputation, when the court did not find him at the address. In general, it is the opposite: those who are denounced by the media file lawsuits. However, there is a “red line”, which the journalist, after presenting the truth and a barrage of public insults that he later receives, still must defend, “Danas” journalist Zorica Miladinovic, who is suing Dejan Djordjevic, told H1 .
The “Danas” correspondent from Nis is demanding compensation for damages, according to the lawsuit’s allegations, due to Dejan Djordjevic’s violation of parts and reputation. At the end of November last year, the founder of the “Megatrend” university, Mića Jovanović, introduced him as “representative of the German consortium of funds that bought the university for 56.1 million euros”, and only a few days later announced that He gave up the sale, claiming that “cheated”.
The defendant did not appear at the first hearing, and before it was decided not to hold it, the judge said that Djordjevic was not found at the address.
“In civil proceedings, the plaintiff is obliged to provide conditions for the holding of a hearing, to provide the court with accurate information: first and last name, address of the accused, but it increasingly happens that people are registered at one address and live and they work in another. Such is the situation of our defendant, who, in my experience, tends to rarely communicate with state bodies, “said lawyer and attorney’s representative Bosko Ristic.
The N1 team was also unable to try to reach Dejan Djordjevic, after an SMS message and a call to various phone numbers.
The judge has scheduled the next hearing for November 25, at which time it is expected that it will be possible to summon the other party to court.
Meanwhile, the journalist recalls that the lawsuit demands compensation for the damages, mainly because Djordjevic “crossed the red line” by reacting to his reports, and after the failed sale of “Megatrend”.
When you communicate properly and officially with the interlocutor, you ask him questions and literally convey what he said, in professionally correct text, and then post an open letter stating that you are almost a classic fraud, because you are his statement. , supposedly, he faked it by manipulating mobile phones and cards, then the only thing he can do is say: now it is enough to ‘fold the page’ and give that interlocutor the opportunity to prove what he claims in court, “he said. He is a journalist for the newspaper “Danas”, Zorica Miladinović.
At the same time, Djordjevic started a process against her and the media in Belgrade, for what she writes, due to the alleged presentation of falsehoods. Miladinović recalls that the lawsuit does not mention the allegations of the “open letter” because she is suing him, but his interlocutor in the text has objections to the title and certain formulations.
