About 5,000 doses of the Russian “Sputnik” vaccine reached Serbia. The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Mirsad Djerlek, declared that the Russian vaccine Sputnik V will be used immediately after the New Year.

Vaccination is expected in the first days of the new year.

Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar said yesterday that testing of the Russian vaccine at the Agency for Medicines and Health Products is coming to an end and is expected to be completed in the early days of the new year.

Vaccination against coronavirus with the vaccine of the companies “Fajezer” and “Biontek” began in Serbia on December 24.

The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Mirsad Djerlek, stated that the Russian vaccine Sputnik V will be used immediately after the New Year, because it takes a day or two to obtain an import permit and a certificate of use.

Djerlek told reporters that Serbia could oppose covid much more seriously with the Feiser and Russian 19 vaccines.

Djerlek appealed to citizens to respond to vaccination as much as possible and announced increased quantities of vaccines from mid-January.
