Today, Serbia transferred the number of 1,000 deaths from the corona virus since the beginning of the epidemic!

According to the previous 24 hours report, the number of kovid deaths in Serbia is 1,009.

The first case of coronavirus in Serbia was confirmed on March 6 by a businessman from Backa Topola. On March 15, a state of emergency was declared throughout the country.

The first victim was confirmed on March 20, when Radislav B. (59) from Kikinda died at the Vojvodina Clinical Center.

“He contracted the virus from a man whose son was in Milan,” Prime Minister Ana Brnabić said at the press conference at the time.

The first victim of the crown was a policeman. Bata went to the last farewell at the Mokrinjski cemetery without greeting his closest family. His wife and children had to remain in quarantine.

Due to the great fear of the spread of the virus, everyone present wore protective masks and the gravediggers also wore protective suits.

The virus doesn’t stop

In the last 24 hours, 11,527 citizens were tested for the corona virus, of which 3,482 tested positive. 20 patients died, while there are currently 164 ventilator patients in Serbian hospitals.

So far, a total of 84,568 people have been infected with the corona virus. So far, 1,507,822 people have been tested in Serbia.

The most difficult situation remains Belgrade, where 1,346 people are recently infected, representing 39 percent of the total number of positive cases in the previous 24 hours.

They are followed by Novi Sad (194), Kragujevac (137), Nis (135), Valjevo (70), Pancevo (68), Kraljevo (68), Zrenjanin (55), Vranje (52) and Kikinda (43). Other cities and municipalities have fewer than 40 new infected.

New measures from Tuesday

Today an extraordinary session of the Government of Serbia was held, in which the main topics were the new measures in the fight against the corona virus.

– We have made the decision to limit the work of everything, except pharmacies, food delivery, gas stations and the economy, which must work the third shift. It is limited so that these facilities do not work from 21 to 5 the next day – said Brnabić, adding that the application of stricter measures will begin on Tuesday, November 17 and will last for 15 days.

The Prime Minister said that a driving ban would not be introduced for the time being and that it was considered mandatory to wear a mask outdoors.

– If it is more necessary, we will go with a movement ban, but right now we are not even thinking about that. We know that this is the next measure, but all predictions are that the measures taken now will pay off and that the number of newly infected will begin to decline – said Brnabić.
