Mileta Miljanic, leader of the infamous “Grupo de América”, arrested in New York for possession of weapons, but the order establishes the fight against drug trafficking, so new details are still awaited

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested one of the most dangerous Serbian criminals, Mile Miljanic, the leader of the “Group of America” crime clan!
Miljanic was arrested last week in New York for gun possession, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The FBI broke into his Queens apartment, where he lives with his family, on February 23, and arrested him when he admitted that the gun they found was his. Still, the FBI has taken action with an order calling for the fight against drug trafficking.
Miljanic is currently in detention. His name was recently mentioned in the US media, in the corruption proceedings against the union boss, James Cahill, who is a close friend of Governor Andrew Como.
“Group of America” was close to John Gotti
Miljanic has been at the head of the “United States group” for years, the longest running and one of the most powerful criminal clans in this area, which was formed in the 1970s from the Serbian immigrant community in the United States. Its founders were close to the local criminal gang “Westis” (Westerners), which was the main one in the New York neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, but also to the famous mobster John Gotti, the godfather of the Gambino family. The “America Group” is suspected of numerous liquidations in Serbia during the 1990s. At that time, the head was Vojislav Raicevic, better known as Voja the American, who disappeared in 1997. Since then, the clan has been Directed by Miljanic.
Interestingly, Miljanic was charged in the United States in 2003 with cocaine smuggling, but that case has yet to come to court, so it was suspected that he was under the protection of a law enforcement agency in the United States.
Miljanic is the head of the “America group”, a dangerous organized criminal organization that has been smuggling cocaine from South America to Europe and Africa for decades.
Miljanic’s right-hand man in this group, Zoran Jaksic, is in a Peruvian prison where he is serving a 25-year sentence for smuggling cocaine.
How dangerous Miljanic is is best illustrated by the telephone conversations the prosecution used to arrest New York unionist James Cahill in October of last year. Kahil, who fell for taking bribes, bragged and threatened to meet Miljanic, according to US prosecution documents, who followed him and eavesdropped on him.
In one of the recorded conversations, Kahil said about Miljanic: “He is my man”, and it was recorded when he said that Miljanic had a “team for mass murder”. Kahil also stated that Miljanic and his nephew have a joint construction job. There was a problem, because Miljanic allegedly threatened his son, for which Kahil personally intervened, threatening to revoke his access to the “group of America” and the power he has in the union, if the son does not leave the association unscathed.
