There are many difficult things, some have already been done and others are working to change the Constitution, which will be very difficult and impossible, as well as part of the possible transfer of powers to a common level on some European issues. We have heard that for 20 years. It didn’t happen, so it won’t happen now either, “Dodik said.
Following the meeting of the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Permanent Rapporteur of the European Parliament for Bosnia and Herzegovina Paul Rangel and the President of the European Council Charles Michel, Dodik said that the representatives of the European institutions expressed a clear commitment to the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He said Brussels now better understands Bosnia and Herzegovina as a complex country that faces many internal problems.
“What we have to do is ensure the approval of certain initiatives like ‘mini Schengen’ and a nine billion investment package for the Western Balkans,” Dodik said. The Serbian member of the Presidency added that the migration crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina was also discussed in today’s meetings and that the members of the Presidency conveyed to European officials that migrants are not only a social problem but also a security problem.
When it comes to the judiciary, Dodik said that everything about the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina is bad, but that these are initiatives that come from former representatives and high representatives of the EU who created a completely wrong and bad legal system, full of corruption and failure.
“They have no right to blame anyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina because they did it. The High Representative imposed the laws and the EU, together with the United States, supported him,” Dodik emphasized.
