The former bishop of Raska and Prizren, Artemije (Radosavljevic), passed away today as a result of the corona virus.
He died today at 2:45 p.m. at the age of 85 in the Valjevo hospital, Danas has learned from ecclesiastical sources.
Artemije (Marko) Radosavljević was born in 1935 in the village of Lalić near Valjevo. He became a monk in 1960 at the Ćelija monastery. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology in Athens, where he also received his doctorate.
He was elected bishop of Raska and Prizren in 1991. This duty was performed by Patriarch Pavle before him.
He was expelled from the SOC Parliament ten years ago, and a few years later from the Church.
