As things stand now, the Socialists will have two departments and one for the SPAS and the SNS coalition partners: the parties of Rasim Ljajic and Milan Krkobabic.
According to our sources, the SPS, according to a variant, will remain the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, which will continue to be led by Branko Ruzic, while Aleksandar Antic from the energy department will be reassigned to traffic. Another option is that one of the two departments destined for the SPS is education, which is also the desire of the socialists. It is already known that the head of this party, Ivica Dačić, will be the president of the parliament.
According to our information, the newly formed Ministry of Family, Childhood and Demographic Care will likely be assisted by Aleksandar Šapić. Ratko Dmitrović, who was elected MP on the SPAS list, is mentioned as the most serious candidate for chief.
As announced by the president of Serbia and leader of the progressives, Aleksandar Vučić, in the coming days he should hold talks with the PUPS and the Serbian People’s Party. As things stand now, Krkobabic, who deals with regional development in this term, could broaden his reach and take care of the people. He also carried out similar jobs in the outgoing government, as a minister without a portfolio of regional development and coordination of public companies. It is unclear whether Nenad Popovic will continue to work at Nemanjina 11, where he is currently minister without a portfolio of innovation and technology development.
SDPS will continue to be represented in the Government at ministerial level, and the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Telecommunications will be headed by Tatjana Matić, who was Secretary of State in this department, instead of Ljajić.
Siniša Mali and Branislav Nedimović will undoubtedly remain among the government’s progressives for the time being, retained by the finance and agriculture departments. Zorana Mihajlović will definitely stay in Nemanjina, but it is mentioned as an option that will change the apartment, so maybe she will switch from the building to energy. The former head of the Interior Ministry, Nebojsa Stefanovic, is assigned to the defense department. In that case, Aleksandar Vulin would take over the police. The current speaker of parliament, Maja Gojković, will be the Minister of Culture and Information.
The Secretary General of the President of the Republic, Nikola Selaković, is the most serious candidate at the head of diplomacy. Prime Minister-designate Ana Brnabić said she would like to see him on her team, also praising Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar.
– The new government is not being thought in a way that saves as many departments as possible for the SNS, and then we will see how we deceive the coalition partners. We are thinking about what we can do for the citizens of Serbia, in clear priorities – said Brnabić yesterday.
How will the final distribution of personnel tickets in Nemanjina will be known on Sunday, when the leadership of the SNS meets in the new session of the party presidency.
SNS Congress in December or January
Yesterday, the Serbian Progressive Party turned 12 years since its founding, and Vice President Miloš Vučević said that this party completely changed the course and meaning of the multi-party system in Serbia, brought political stability as a precondition for economic prosperity, strengthening the security structures, investing in health and everything else. important to a society.
He also affirmed that the party’s Presidency will decide on Sunday if the congress will be in December or January of next year, if epidemiological conditions allow it. This will be preceded by internal party elections, from local, municipal and city boards, to the party assembly that elects the Main Board and the Executive Board, but is convinced that everyone supports Vučić.
– Most party members want Vucic to remain in command. He said that he would retire and that we will do everything possible to convince him to remain the captain, because why change the team that brings victory?
Meanwhile, the next steps towards the constitution of the executive branch will be taken. Today will be held the session of the Assembly of Serbia, in which the president, vice presidents, the secretary general, as well as the composition of the committees and delegations to international institutions will be elected. It is about the continuation of the session from August 3, when the parliament was constituted, and now the work continues according to the agenda already determined.
The bill on government and ministries will likely be considered on Saturday, and voted on Monday. The presentation of the Prime Minister and the election of the members of the government is Wednesday, October 28.
Secretary of Parliament of Odalovic
The NEW Secretary General of the Assembly will be Veljko Odalović, who will assume this position from the position of Secretary General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. This time he will also be in the team of his party leader, Ivica Dacic, with whom he will come from the diplomacy department. By the way, Odalović already held the post of Secretary General of Parliament in the term from 2008 to 2012.
As we found out, the vice-presidents of the Assembly from the ranks of progressives will be Sandra Božić and Vladimir Orlić.
In the next few days the Provincial Government should be elected. The Vojvodina Assembly session will be held on Saturday or immediately after the weekend.
CeSid CEO Bojan Klačar tells “Novosti” that the future government’s term of one and a half years, when, as announced by Vučić, early parliamentary elections will be called, along with the presidential elections, is not a surprise:
– Shapic’s participation in the executive branch is a partial surprise, and the election of Dacic as president of the Assembly is a complete surprise. And not because it was not planned, but because it represents in a way a setback for the socialist leader in his political career, since the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister has been replaced by that of President of the Assembly. The role of the president of the assembly is high in the hierarchy, but the parliament itself is not as strong as the executive branch, Klačar believes.
