The part of the DS that organized the elections in the Democratic Party announced that Branislav Lei was elected the new party president, as well as five other vice presidents.

At the press conference it was said that members of 105 municipal boards voted and that the turnout was 72.6 percent, and the final results would be announced within 48 hours and then verified at the electoral assembly.
Therefore, the DS practically has two presidents, Zoran Lutovac and Lei, which is legitimate and legal, yet to be disputed, after Lut’s leadership sent a letter to the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government to prevent the part of Lei’s party was registered in the Register of Political Organizations.
Lei told that part of the party not to advise them to go to court, not to waste time, because, he claims, the party’s procedure was followed with regard to the electoral assembly.
Lei said this was the most important role in his life and “called on all who disagreed, as well as all Democrats, to unite around a common story.”
Vida Ognjenovi referred to the current events for which the voting was interrupted in the municipal board of DS Stari Grad and the sign with the name DS was removed from Nuieva Street.
Ognjenovi said that deputies from Lut, Dragana Raki and Duan Kostadinovi came to the central party, who obstructed the elections and physically came to expel them from the party.
She said she was shocked by this procedure, which, as she says, better explains why that stream split.
When it comes to removing the sign from the entrance to the party headquarters in Nuieva, she said:
“Shame on the one who ordered the board to be removed,” said Ognjenovi.
