Here are the new measures and recommendations for cafes and restaurants that Index learned from Marin Medak:

  • For every 50 people in the catering facility, there is one kovid-concierge
  • The number of people depends on the number of square meters of the building, one guest for every four square meters
  • The physical distance between the tables must be three meters.
  • There should be no Vedic table
  • Dance podiums are prohibited.
  • He does everything until midnight, including the wedding.
  • Masks for guests as they walk through the building and not sit at a table and offer to consume food and drink

The National Stoer (file) of Civil Protection announced today the decision according to which all catering services are prohibited from working after midnight.

The catering facilities are open from 6 am to 24 hours. The decision also applies to home catering service providers and family farms, and does not apply to hotels, camps and private accommodations.

The decision will take effect tomorrow and it is not specified when it will apply.

Local civil protection tabs can also introduce shorter working hours

At the suggestion of the county’s civil protection tab, the working hours of catering facilities and other catering service providers may be further limited for the area of certain local and regional self-government units, Stoer notes.

“Natural or legal persons managing catering facilities, home catering service providers and family farms are obliged to organize work in accordance with the optimal and special recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health and to ensure that its employees and guests adhere to established epidemiological measures. ” , is stated in the decision.

Medak: We will all fail one by one

The president of the National Catering Association, Marin Medak, commented to Index on the introduction of new epidemiological measures for catering service providers, stating that they are unrealistic and that if catering providers adhere to them, they will all fail.

Yesterday we had a meeting with Stoer and according to the new measures that have not yet been announced, the distance between the dining room tables must be three meters, while the distance from chair to chair must be 1.5 meters, and they must foresee four squares per person. that we have a kovid-guard for every 50 guests, when we have to pay and to control if the measures are fulfilled, “Medak told Index.

He pointed out that the minimum investment of a catering company per square meter is 1,000 euros, and that it usually goes up to 2,000 euros.

“In the best of cases, the restaurant may have a turnover of 3,000 kuna a day (395 euros), and a refrigerator for a month is around 150,000 kuna (about 20,000 euros)”.

“Let’s take the example that there is an investment of 150,000 euros for every 100 square meters of space. Part of the space is for sanitary facilities, kitchen, ank, so there are only 60 square meters of service space left. So, only 15 guests can attend in that space. And now let’s take the example that we have people available and at dinner, two sessions maximum (two guest tours), but this is not realistic because in Croatia we do not have that salary, so many people can come to lunch and dinner, so we can have a maximum of 60 people, and it must be taken into account that the average amount of the bill in a restaurant in Croatia is 55 kuna, so the daily billing in a restaurant in these New circumstances can average about 3,000 kuna, and running a cold restaurant costs about 150,000 kuna a month. Time is full, you have a large deficit, “said Medak.

“We told them that we could not do that, that is, that we would travel all the measures, as long as the State promised us,” he added.

Let us remind you, a new measure was adopted in Serbia at the proposal of the Crisis Tab, which came into effect on Thursday at 11 pm – all facilities are working until now. Including those with bats.

And British Prime Minister Boris Donson announced new measures when it comes to English pubs, so the public’s anger is only growing. In addition, the Czech government will close bars, restaurants and nightclubs from tomorrow, October 14.
