Crisis staff has decided that all middle schools and upper grades of elementary schools, fifth through eighth grade, will switch to online classes from Monday, November 30 to December 21, that is, until the beginning of winter break, which was postponed today by crisis staff.
It was also decided that the winter holidays on the territory of the entire Republic of Serbia would be postponed and would last from December 21 to January 18.
The procedure is such that the next step is for these crisis personnel decisions to be taken by the Government of Serbia, which could put them into effect.
– As for the younger grades of primary schools, no changes were planned for them, that is, everything remains as before. The kindergartens continue to function normally, said Dr. Tiodorović.
Winter holidays on the move
A Crisis Staff member, Dr. Predarg Kon, said earlier today that the meeting was an opportunity to make decisions that the medical part of that body proposed in writing on November 20.
– We are not talking about the completion of the work of the schools, but only about a week of transition to online classes, for a short time, nothing more – said Kon.
He added that he is getting closer to the general understanding of the idea that winter holidays should be a little earlier to avoid interference from kovid and flu, that is, to make a hole, because the flu has not yet arrived.
Kon also stated that a number of current issues regarding institutions and the ability to accept patients will be discussed in the staff session, as well as other movements will be discussed directly, as well as vaccination planning, which will gradually be discussed. is getting closer.
– It is an opportunity to hear what is the implementation of the introduced measures, and make an assessment of the situation – said Kon.
By the way, yesterday there was the highest number of people tested so far in Serbia: 21,476 people, but also the highest number of new infected with the corona virus: 6,842, with another 37 deaths.
Yesterday additional measures came into force, so that until December 3, the working hours of catering facilities – restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, as well as shopping centers, theaters, cinemas and other cultural institutions, as well as the organizers of special and classic games in fortunately, it will be limited to 18 hours.
Stores and other retail facilities are open until 9 pm, while service station pharmacies in the fuel and catering business and other facilities that deliver food can operate without restrictions.
In addition, in Belgrade, from 17 to 20 hours, 236 additional vehicles are included in the public transport lines.
It is forbidden to gather more than five people, both indoors and outdoors.
